Welcome to 7 Red!

Hello everyone!  I am very happy to be meeting all of you on this finale of August and summer. This day reminds me of the opening to Natalie Babbit's novel, Tuck Everlasting. She writes, "...August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning.” Please join me as this pause comes to an end and we ride through 7th grade together. Click on "Comments" below and post about what you are leaving behind with summer, what you are looking forward to, and any questions that you might have. Enjoy!

I never got a chance to really relax this summer. My mom was determined to get us out of the house, as far as possible. My summer was like fireworks, spontaneous. It went out with a bang. I had my share of fun too, but 7th grade is my chance to relax and learn a bit, the way I like it.

But what I am going to miss the most is summer because you get a vacation and you get time off from school and you don't need to worry about school as much.
I am going to miss summer because now it is going to take so long to for summer again :(
But at least we are back in school.

I am a new student and I love this school I this is the best school that I have ever been to. Why? Because when you are new to a school and have no idea how to get to your class it's always welcoming when someone helps you get through the day . In my case I had many friends to welcome me. 7 red rocks!!!!!!!!!! :)
