My palms were like a running fauset, wet and dripping. The stress was unbearable to with stand. If I miss this shot he will end me, once and for all. I slowly drew the short wooden stick back. If I was to shift one muscle- all would go black in my mind. I would be long gone with the rest of my family once hes finished with me. I could hear the limbs of the string stretch as i drew back the bow. The arrow went flying past my target and into the darkness, whistling a blood churning laugh as it mocks my life's ending.

The last person on earth is sitting in a empty room. Silence fills his heart. Only the echo of his heart bursting throught his chest. The darkness is about to eat him and take his soul whole. He hears a knock on the door...

I was in disney and I got pooped on by a bird. My family was so lucky we got free fast passes. My mom thought we were so lucky that we were going to be in a parade. We didn't get in a parade but we were lucky because we got more fast passes for the rides that are usually long lines. It always happens to me, I wish it would happen to my brother instead of me. At the end of the day I can still smell the bird poop. Whenever I go to Disney, I get pooped on by a bird I hate it. I think birds hate me. But every time my family and I get fast passes.

The pounding echoed in my ears. Each beat of my thumping heart sent it farther up my throat. My toes curled up. I pictured my next move, watching a movie behind my eyelids. Each possibility ran through my mind, like my life flashing before me. My eyes met the referee's as the room silenced. The ball was passed off, it molded to my hand. I rolled it off my fingers, let it bounce of the floor. Once, then twice. I lined up my fingers with the seams. I brought it back, got a good grip.. Brought my hands forward.. Released the ball.. I watched in astonishment.. Good arch.. I bit my lip.. This was it.. The final shot. If it was in, I could call myself a champion. If not.. I couldn't, to say the least. I squinted my eyes and broke out of my daydream. The ball hovered over the net and everything seemed to freeze..

The wind blew strong, blowing away my hope, locking it deep down in the earth where I stood. My hope was buried with an unnatural sense of foreboding, and death. The nocturnal animals screamed with the rage of the light less moon. As I walked through the grimfull night of despair, as I saw the trees bend with sadness towards me. Like I was the only spark of life in place. Just wishing they could join the life of emotion. The life of endless mystery and wonder.

I turned around and looked at the old, broken house that used to be mine. My mother turned and looked at me. "Don't look back," she said. "Never look back." We turned away and we continued to walk. Tears made it's way down my cheeks. My mind is drowning me in depression. The tears then dry my face. Who would've never known my whole life would change by fire. I toss my all the devestation and memories away.

The sun descends as the moon rises above the stars. The moon leaves a spotlight shining on me. The nerves in my stomache are just like the moon rising higher and higher then slowly like descend like the sun and the adrenilin rises just like the stars and I'm ready to go. It's show time and as I step onto the stage the spotlight shines on me, blazing, burning me as it seeps through my skin. Then the Adrineline pushes out as I hear the fans screaming out calling my name.

I have my stomach twist and then dry when I first heard the door beating. My throught gets crusty and I feel as if I don't have a larynx because I am to petrified to talk. As I go hide under a desk I hear the door crash open. As my palms and forehead started to sweat like there is no tomorrow my breathing stops, because the foot steps are getting closer. There getting closer, up the stairs, getting closer, through the hall until... The door creaks open and aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!

Sitting there watching, hearing, feeling, smelling, tasting I knew that their was nothing but black. In this cave all alone, dark blotches of mold filling the wall with color and life. The water is trickling, and the pointy spears of rocks like a waterfall of tears. It was like staring into a black hole of nothing, their was nothing there, only the echoing of my voice and shadows of nothing. The world has gone cold, and nothing to eat but the rocks of the bottom of the empty ground. The taste of sand and smoke blending togather to make the taste rocks. The smell of salty water running by you like it is a chinees fire drill. the felling of nothing just a big blank spot that you can touch, not knowing what or if their is even anything there it might be nothing or it could be nothing.

I stroll in. Glorious smells of French fries, burgers, and milkshakes overflow my nostrils. The tune of old, jumpy music fill the scented air. My burger and French fries come towardsnme as if skipping onto my table. The feeling of brain freeze stings my head because of my chocolate milkshake. As I take an enormous chomp out of my burger, the salty flavor of my French fries are still existing. Leaving the building is a shame but I know I'll be back soon. As I look back I see a glowing sign like the one I saw before. A sign that I'll never forget: JOHNNY ROCKETS.

The glow of the eerie moon was seen though leafs above my head. And I thought their was very little reason to be here in the forest. I hear faint footsteps lurking around me.And then I start rushing towards the first path I see. The path ended in a dark cave. I heard the muddy footsteps closing in. I must enter into the dark cave, to find shelter. Will the unseen dangers of the cave be worse than what pursues me?

An icy hand clutches my heart as I watch my BFF clasp the golden chain around her neck. Her new BFF smiles smirking in my direction. I clasp my fork and my knife and shovel more pasta into my mouth. My old BFF removes my "one dollar at target" charm necklace I got her and throws it into the trash. A giant ball of garbage rolls to the pit of my stomach. A dark haze flows into my eyes. Suddenly, a giant rainstorm breaks through my eyelids and I rush to leave the table.Sweat dripping off my face I drove home silently, my face sticky from the tears soaking my face. If they want a ride home, I thought, they can take the city bus.

There was a smirk on the driver's face as he completed the turn. Porsche, there is no substitute

I woke up one night. It was cold. I could see my breath. I went to check the thermometer. It was 32. I decided it was no big deal and started to walk back to my room when I got the feeling someone or something was watching me. I felt it get colder as I walked, colder and colder, until I could hear something. I turned around quickly. It was gone. I kept walking. I heard a ringing noise getting louder and louder. Soon it was unbearable. Something was coming. The noise was still getting louder and louder. Then the lights started to flicker on, off, on, off. But once they didn’t come back on and I was dead.

Sitting there all sweaty and nervous. Gripping my palms together. There, at the last gymnastics meet, states. waiting to see what place i came in for all-around. I needed to make top three. Third and second place came around and my two best friends were called up. I kept telling myself I was'nt going to make first place, there was no way I would have. I started packing my gym bag and stood up. I looked over at my mom and she gave me a thumbs up. I've never been so cunfused before. Then I heard the host say "Congratulations to our new state champion gymnast, Gwynevere Gordon" I was so relieved, I let all the air I had held in my chest out and smiled. I finally got first place in states! I could'nt stop smiling while holding my tropny that was almost my height. I got dizzy a couple of times from being so happy.

AS I slowly walked towards the funeral I could hear sobs and cries of familey and close frinds. I choose a seat in the front row. The cold, steel chair sends a message of shivers up my spine. I turn my head so its facing the right, I see women whoose cheeks are coverd in sobby, sadness tears and black mascara. The blue eyes that belong to me fill with salty water that burns my eyes. I never once imaged that this, my worst nightmare would ever become a reality.

I was sprinting fast. " hey back here you dirtbag!" My persuers yelled. I hid behind a concrete block. My heart began to pound as the footsteps of my nemeisis approached. I looked up, they were gone. "Thank god" I said. When I got up my leg began to throb in pain. I could hear my heartbeat inside my head like a beat to a song. Then something knocked me down from behind, by something that felt like a boulder. When I rolled over I almost passed out. They had caught me. They snuck up on me like ninjas, so silent. "Nice try" said my nemesis said. One of them picked me up and held my hands behind my back and they all got free punches and kicks at me while I stood helpless. As they finally dropped me to the ground I was in so much pain. It felt like I had been chainsawed in half. When I looked my self over myself blood was oozing out of every cut I had. Also I was covered in yellow bruises. As I struggled home I thought to myself why was I stupid enough to pull a prank on them. Tristan Deschenes

Suddenly I was a child of eight again. If I cannot escape, I will fight. There were now very few people in the arena, and they were gone because I was training. Soldiers, they were astonished at my skill.
I don't care.
There is nothing to help with;I need no comforting arm of a mother, because all that is left on me is the memory of the woman's bruises that she gave me, and my father's half-hearted gestures. He was, as he said, distracted. Yes, by your woman, I thought, and jabbed my knife harder, kicked higher.
I don't care.
And then he is behind me, I know he is. My father sits up on the highest stone bench, watching me, distracted. There's someone with him, a disdainful gaze on my back. I will not speak to him, and I will not bow to the witch of a woman he has brought with him. What foolishness has overtaken him that he should believe I would? And then I gazed up at the sky, the crimson, gold sky.
It was beautiful.
I grabbed the light, short sword fashioned for my training and put it in the scabbard on my belt. Gave my father a withering glance over my shoulder. Took off at a run. There's nothing, nothing but my heart pounding against my ribs, my chest aching, and the earth beneath me as I run....

Running was my only option. I knew that and so did she. Living in secret wasn't like me. We couldn't stay in this underground world forever. Maybe I was the only one who understood that. We could cower under the city while the rest of the world fought but we would be shamed for the rest of the world's life. I needed to fight for the human race. I took my father's gun and dressed in his war clothes. Now it was my turn to fight...

"That One!" I said with excitement as I went walking around the little water pool for kids. Except inside this kiddie pool didn't have kids inside it, there was a whole litter of black lab puppies. There were small ones, skinny ones, and then there was him. The minute we locked eyes I knew he was the one. As soon as I picked him up he started to lick my face like a kid and an ice cream cone on a hot day, like a baby and anything they can get their hands on, like a dog and peanut butter. That's when I noticed he had a black oval on the back part of his tongue, none of the other puppies had this. It was about the size of a dove chocolate and as dark as night. He ran and played just like any other puppy, but there was something special about this one that made me know deep down inside that this was the one. Next thing I knew we were giving the man the check for him and in eight weeks he would be mine. I went home that day trying to think of possible names for my new puppy, but it was impossible. every time I thought about him all I could do was smile.

As the judge's gavel hit his old mahogany desk, the old man full of prejudice uttered the words no one ever wanted to hear. "Chris Mio, because of your multiple cases of invading privacy, I and the jury sentence you to 40 years of incarceration." Right behind me I could hear my sister yell "No! It can't be! It wasn't him!" and she began to bawl on the dirty wooden floor. Then two tense men marched from the exit of the court to put on my handcuffs. They were squeezed far to tight on my wrists. I couldn't take it. I flipped around the officer and before I knew even knew it I was holding my handcuffs behind his pale, skinny neck. I guess I was pushing pretty hard because they snapped right off! I bolted out the door. Behind me I could hear my sister say "Run, Chris run!" Of course you can't escape the long arm of the law, so after one day of freedom I was found. Oddly enough, the officers from the courtroom were the ones to end my sad life.

Times running out, there's a minute left in the huge football game! We are trailing leominster by six points. My team has the ball and we have t score! It's first and ten, on two I said in the huddle.Ready? Break! Down, set GO, GO! I dropped back and handed the ball off to my friend Parker. He got us a first down! My heart was pumping, really fast! We had to call a time out to stop the clock. We were on the fifty yard line with 48 seconds left in the game.Hike! I dropped back looking for my main receiver Nicky, there was a defender on him like glue! I rolled out left and saw Kendal going deep. I let the ball fly threw the air! Right when I let the ball sail threw the air I got hit, I was on the ground but I heard the crowed going crazy! We gained 40 yards on that one play! It was a thirty yard pass but Kendal ran for an extra 10 yards. We only have 24 seconds to go my coach called a screen pass for Nicky, on one. Set hike I dropped back pump faked right and gave Nicky a pass right into the end zone! TOUCHDOWN! With only 17 seconds left I think we can win this one! -Peter Fitzgerald

He was running down the street getting chased by this creepy person. When the kid stops to take a breath he turns around and the guy is right there. Then the kid trips trying to run away. So then the guy walks up and takes his knife out. Then the kid kicks the guy into the road and a car comes by and it hits him. But then the kid sees him gets up and starts walking towards the kid again that was the last time they saw that kid.

My every step making a deadly sound. Snow chrunching under my feet. As cracks slowly start to show at the tip of the surface. I look down knowing that this could be the end, this could be the end of everything. Watching farther ahead of me, a drop 100s of feet down. Ice and snow plummeting down the cliff. Deciding if I should jump, I do. Falling and falling knowing I will never hit the bottom.

"Don't leave! I won't let you leave me!" I shouted down to Sylv. "I won't let you...." Tears ran their path down my cheeks, but it was hopeless to try and bring her back. I knew, but refused to believe, that never again would she smile up at me, cheeks flushed and eyes bright with admiration, or would I see her with that flash of steely determination in her young eyes. Never again would I hold her hand, or watch the falling sun set her auburn hair on fire. Never again would I be able to hear her soft breathing, and know that we had survived another day together. Never again. -Maxine C

Dead. A man laying in the street. A bullet in his head. My friends and I scared. We start to walk, speed walk, run, and then sprint. We have no idea who shoot him all we knew was it was Johns father. All we could really say was we were sorry. We didn't know what to but cry. I swear I will find the murderer who killed Johns father.I don't care how long it will take as long as it happens someday.

I couldn't wait, Christmas was almost here! Every year my family and I decorate Christmas cookies, it is one of our family traditions. All my cousins, aunts and uncles come and have a blast. It is always a competition, you never know who is going to win. A few days before I help my mom bake the cookies. Flour gets all over the kitchen floor and on my hands, it looks like a snowstorm covered the inside of my house. When we let them cook the aroma of sugar cookies burst out of the oven and into the kitchen. This is one of the traditions I look forward to during the Christmas season. I always feel that everyone around town even the people that I don't know are always more merry and willing to do things for others during this time of year.

The night was hushed by a thunderous, deep throated growl that chilled my bones. I ran as fast as I could when a cry of pain rang in my ears but was silenced by a teeth-grinding, tearing sound, that only made me run faster. The enormous grotesque pounding paws hit the ground behind me as I am dragged to a highly vegetated area. I was surrounded by wolf-like monsters. My only protection was a man named Cliff, armed only with a pistol.

The wind was swarming, leaves crackling. I heard frightened noises run through my ears. My heart pounded with excitement. People where chasing me while running with fear. All I could do was sprint. I sprinted into a strangers car. I told him to take me home. It was 1:00pm by now, and I still wasn't home. I was scared. He took me to an ally and tried to beat me. The police came bounding down the ally. I couldn't stop bleeding. The police officer said, "Who did this to you?" My last words were, "Them."

As i sat there, I waited for the nurse to walk in and tell me he was ok and was going to live. Instead, I received the opposite,he wasn't going to live he decided to die.My head was sunken in my hands and all the hope and faith I had, floated out of my heart. I couldn't believe it; my gold, my everything was gone away for good.I never thought I deserved this butI remember one thing he always said "everything happens for a reason." I guess I have to live by that motto, all I know is I have now seen the lowest of the lowest and the top of the top. I decided to move on and make the best of the situation. I stood up and walked out of the hospital.

Everyone around me was fearful as the two people were fighting for their lives. The wild bear came charging towards them like a bull does to a matador and his red sheet. All you could hear was the agonizing screams of pain that came from the hunters. The two men were very lucky because the bear must have felt that there was no point to the people and left those two men's life were saved. You never know your gonna lose someone you love. On October 28 2010 my dog Henri got ran over, but the person who ran over my dog was my mom. Acedently not knowing he was outside she was backing up from the driveway and felt something go under her wheel and a whining sound so she got out of the car rushed to see what it was and saw him laying in pain trying to pick him up with out hurting him more. When I found out what happen I was devastated I didn't know what was gonna happen what I was gonna do but for now the only thing I knew I could do was be there for him. Later on that night my mom took him to the animal hospital they said that if he got the surgery he could eier die during it or he could have problems more problems with his body after the surgery. Coming home from school later that day hoping he'd be fine but getting horrifying news he had to be put down. Trembling and shaking tears of water filled my eyes. I lost someone very special to me that day but I had to realize life can't always go your way.

The wind whipped through the trees in the dark forest that night. I crouched in silence; waiting. Being told he would be arriving at about his time, I worried he would never come.

However, as maple leaves rustled and owls hooted in the distance, a shadow emerged from the tree across from where I waited. My heart was beating quicker, now, and a sudden worry put butterflies in my stomach. He spoke.
"I have what you require. But it will be at a price."
My face twisted. "And what would that be?" I asked slowly.
"I will give them the package, and your life will belong to me. You will never see your friends again."

I then looked at him in sullen silence; dread filling my face.

My finger carefully slid over the trigger with ease, my experience and knowledge kicking in. The Smith and Wesson Schofield revolver slid into my grip like a friend, always with you. I remembered my childhood, and my very grip that made my fingers white faltered. I closed my eyes, remembering that I was born into this world of chaos and misery; filled with the new-bred mutants and bandits who raided buildings of the poor. I sagged to the ground, and gave up. With little work, I managed to haul myself up. Then I felt the barrel of a sawed-off shotgun up against my neck.

I walked along the waves slowly leaving imprints of my pale white feet in the sand greeting me and others hello in the early morning. As I walked along the ocean I was thinking I would go swimming. So I ran inside and got my bathing suit on and sprinted back out the ocean that was calling my name. When I ran it felt like i was free, felling like everything in the world was alright. Completely oblivious I went to the wrong end of the ocean which had the current. I tried to swim away but it was to strong . Struggling through that all I could taste in my mouth was salt water and all I could invision was my name on a tomb stone in a cemetery saying here rests in peace Marie Andrea Shanon. Uh oh i said as I started forming a torpedo in my stomach. Thinking am i going to make it out of here alive?

As I sit down to turn the TV on,I hearth door open, almost as if the person opening it doesn't want me to hear them. I holler: "Mom? Dad?", with no answer. I pay no attention to it, most likely my imagination trying to pull tricks on me. I turn on CSI and grab some chips out of my bowl. I hear a slight chuckle, coming from behind me. I think it was just a character on TV, but no one on-screen is speaking. I hear: " Stay put and don't make a sound. Any sudden movement, I shoot." My heart is racing, my palms are sweaty, and I'm hyperventilating. The man comes around from the back of the couch, his gun locked and loaded, and pointed directly at me. "Check 'er jacket" the man says. There must be more. NOW I'm terrified. I squint my eyes shut as another man swings his arm around me and takes off my coat. He swings my wallet and phone in the air, and throws my jacket back at me. He says "You didn't see nothin' ,sweet cheeks." Suddenly there is a strong pain in my jaw, and the world grows dark.

"I remember nothing of that day" I tell the judge, for the two men are staring at me, there eyes full with ambition for murder.
