Imagery

Imagery is description which appeals to on or more of our senses. It helps the reader to create a picture in his or her mind of things we can see, hear, taste, touch, and/or smell.  Imagery makes writing advanced and unique.

Share an example of vivid imagery written by an author from your free reading.  Be sure to use an exact quotation, with quotation marks, and give credit to the author by writing his or her name after the quote.  Please see the first comment for a model.
